Performed by Léo Marillier at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall on May 4, 2016. Program note: I would like to tell you a story, although it pains me to say it is not a happy one. This is a story of loss, fractured dreams, broken things.

Ciaccona for violin alone (2015)

Premiered by Gabriela Diaz on April 26, 2015 at the MIT Museum. Commissioned by Dinosaur Annex.

Performance by Léo Marillier.

Program Note:

I would like to tell you a story, although it pains me to say it is not a happy one. This is a story of loss, fractured dreams, broken things. It is a story of unraveling echoes, stolen from their resonant, soulful chambers at the peek of peaceful harmony. It is one of absence, of a shattered vessel, no longer able to be called home. A story that, although new to you, is tragically all too familiar. However, I only offer you its essence—the details of the story are your own to devise.
