August: I will be attending Syracuse University for my MM in composition.
May 15: Graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Texas.
April 26: Rhubarb Fugue for horn quartet premiered at the University of North Texas Spectrum Concert with William Scharnberg, Angela Winter, Terry Reynolds and myself on horn.
April 9: Received the Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Composition at the University of North Texas award.
April 2: My senior recital, which was shared with my friend and colleague Michael A. Garman (www.michaelagarman.com). Works presented: Fable II, Three Pieces for Oboe, Percussion and Harp, and Whispers of Heavenly Death.
January: Commissioned by Dr. William Scharnberg to write a horn quartet (Rhubarb Fugue).
2009
October 1-4, 8-11: Performances of The Misanthrope begin at the UNT University Theater, featuring Incidental Music by Cody W. Forrest.
September 27: Fable performed by Jamie Lipton at the Greater Denton Arts Council Center for Visual Arts in a concert hosted by the UNT Composers Forum.
May: Selected to compose incidental music for the University of North Texas' production of Moliere's The Misanthrope.
April 27: Reflected Light and Skirr (Second and Third Movements from Three Pieces for Oboe, Percussion and Harp) premiered at the University of North Texas Spectrum Concert with Anna Morris, Dustin Doelling, Rod Kosterman, and Daniel Harmon performing.
March 2: Convoluted Spheres (First Movement from Three Pieces for Oboe, Percussion and Harp) premiered at the University of North Texas Spectrum Concert with Anna Morris, Christopher Billings, Kate Vorel, and Daniel Harmon performing.
2008
November 12: Became a member of BMI
October 22: Became a member of the American Composers Forum.
October 21: Began work on a new piece for Oboe, 2 Percussionists, and Harp for my close friend Anna Morris.
October 20: Fable premiered at the University of North Texas Spectrum Concert for new works by UNT students with Jamie Lipton performing.
2007
November 24: Became a member of the American Music Center
